Laojia Yi Lu or Old Frame First Form

Laojia Yi Lu is the oldest of the Chen style forms.  The Laojia Yi Lu is the form from which the Yang style and all other Tai Chi styles developed. It is the primary form for the study of Chen style Tai Chi. It consists of 74 postures or movements.

Laojia Er Lu or Old Frame Second Form (also called Pau Chui or "Cannon Fist")

The Laojia Er Lu (Cannon Fist) is the second routine. This form is more aerobic and explosive and is usually performed quickly with bursts of fajing, or explosive energy. The student needs to have cultivated an understanding of the principles of Tai Chi and internal energy before learning this Cannon Fist Form.
